Biography
Alan is a west coast based designer specializing in scenic design for theatre and performance. Regional design credits include Shakespeare’s Amazing Cymbeline (Portland Center Stage), Glengarry Glen Ross (Milwaukee Repertory Theatre), Willy Wonka: The Musical (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Period of Adjustment (TheatreSquared – Fayetteville, AR), Footloose and the world premiere of Knute Rockne: All American (Theatre at the Center – Munster, IN), the world premiere of The Chicago Sound Connection (B&B Productions/ Northwestern University TIC – Evanston, IL), The Bacchae, Mad Forest, Pippin and Suitcase (Northwestern University TIC – Evanston, IL). West coast design credits include The Road to Mecca, Lips Together Teeth Apart, Thief River (Profile Theatre Project), Hard Times (CoHo Theatre / Demaniak Productions), Jack Goes Boating (Artists Repertory Theatre), American Buffalo and Kiss Me Like You Mean It (Third Rail Repertory Theatre), Mauritius and To Kill A Mockingbird (Salem Repertory Theatre).
Alan received his MFA in Stage Design from Northwestern University in Chicago. Currently Alan is the Resident Scenic Design Assistant for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
