Biography
Ron Hays joined Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management in 2016 and teaches the two-semester experiential learning course.
Ron brings Willamette MBA students the benefit of his decades of experience leading not-for-profit organizations at the CEO and Presidential levels. His past experience includes serving as president of Marion-Polk Food Share – a regional food bank that distributes millions of pounds of food to over 99 agencies across Marion and Polk Counties in Oregon, and president of the
Department of Mission Advancement LLC – a subsidiary of the Mountain West Investment Corporation that provided assistance and consulting to community nonprofit organizations. He also served as the CEO of the United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, and as a member of a variety of boards and planning committees throughout Oregon.
Ron also brings many years of paramedic and international experience. He led in the formation and development of an International Emergency Medical Training Program at Medical Teams International (formerly known as Northwest Medical Teams), served as their Emergency Medical Services coordinator, and was the primary editor and contributing author for the International Emergency Medical Care Textbook.
Currently, Ron is the owner of Teal Falls LLC, Consulting Firm where he provides executive management consulting services in philanthropy and the development of affordable housing, A lifelong learner, he is also currently working on his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation.
