Many of our courses require students to do projects with real organizations to supplement their learning as part of the class. Typically, students are in small teams of 3 to 5 students and are tasked with adding value to an organization which meets criteria for a particular course. This might range from developing a proposal for a training program to analyzing and investment strategy to designing a communications plan.
Courses requiring projects are in all areas of interest including:
- finance
- marketing
- operations
- human resources
In addition to these elective courses, our full-time students also do a PACE project (Practical Applications for Careers and Enterprises) where a group of 10-12 students do a consulting project for a not-for-profit or public sector client. Students in our evening Professional MBA program do a capstone project, a consulting project that should incorporate many areas of interest. Partnering with a team of students offering value to your organization may be a great way to get an outside viewpoint, have smart people attack a tough problem or simply a way to engage with young minds and learn from the professors what's current in MBA programs.
